About Me

Kevin Minckler

Hello! I am a Retired Senior Principal Engineer at Pitney Bowes here in Connecticut.

My passions in no particular order are flying, fast cars, electronics, guitars and motorcycles.

I grew up in Connecticut in a family of individuals who were not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work hard for their dreams.

My Grandfather was a flight instructor in WWII, flying PT-17 Stearman and Navy SNJ’s. My Father was a Mechanical Engineer and brought his love of how things work home to his boys.

I grew up with a full workshop of tools and machines. My brothers and I along with my father and good friends created the Minckler Racing Team.

I took all that knowledge that I learned from my father and added to it with my own curiosity and love for electronics.

I watched for years as planes flew over-head and decided I wanted to add pilot to my many titles. With hard work, dedication and persistence, I became a pilot. I got training not only as a private pilot but received stall and spin awareness training and Aerobatic training with Rob Holland a 10-time world unlimited Aerobatic Champion.

I have owned my Long EZ for 18 years. I am proud to say I have flown to AirVenture at Oshkosh Wisconsin from Connecticut 13 times.

I am married to the best flap operator ever… (ask her about that). We are a good team and together we get things done!
