The Rutan Model 61 Long-EZ is a tandem 2-seater homebuilt aircraft designed by Burt Rutan. The Long-EZ has a canard layout, a swept wing with wingtip rudders, and a pusher engine and propeller. The tricycle landing gear has fixed main wheels with streamlined struts and a retractable nosewheel.
My Long EZ, we have nicknamed Little Wing for her front canard wing. Purchased in 2004 from a widow in Texas whose husband built it and flew it till he was in his 80’s. The plane has an O-360 Lycoming engine. I have done many upgrades to the airplane in the last 15 years and continue working on improving it. I love flying her and we dance in the clouds.
